I will be going out of town over the weekend. As a result, The Joyce Report will go on hiatus and return Monday morning.
Run Away and Hide looked like an old pro winning the Saratoga Special S. (G2). He belongs among the leaders of the division. Break Water Edison, who conceded ground on turn, was a game second. Several others, including Dueling Alex, will no doubt go on and earn their keep.
One of my favorites, I Lost My Choo, reappears in Friday’s Lake Placid S. (G2) at Saratoga. On Saturday, a terrific edition of the Alabama S. (G1) will be decided along with the Sword Dancer Invitational S. (G1) for older turf runners. And lest we forget, the streaking Storm Mesa highlights Saturday’s Del Mar Oaks (G1).
I thought there were a couple of interesting things in the news on Thursday, which I will ponder while away.
