I used seven entries on Desert Party in the Sanford S. (G2) and two entries on Phosphorescent. I placed my remaining entry on Rizzi’s Twist in the eighth.
I am amazed that Desert Party has only 22 percent of the total, considering it’s a four-horse race. I played it extra safe by using Phosphorescent, who I thought ran very well in his debut in Louisville.
Lacking absolute total confidence, I played a saver on Rizzi’s Twist, who I’m hoping will rally in the lane for a top-three placing.
Goretty, who had 11 percent of total and was the second choice in the contest, just ran out of the money in the third race, taking 302 entries with him. Nice.

I played just 2 tickets and went “all in” on Desert Party. The 22 percent on Desert Party does seem low but I guess maybe more people than what one might think make their picks before checking the scratches. Tim
